Google hat heute in seinem Blog veröffentlicht, dass Seiten die neben den Anzeigen Bilder einblenden nicht erwünscht sind.
Im Wortlaut:

Zur Erklärung hier geht es um Ads ( Anzeigen ) aus dem Adsense Programm für Homepage Betreiber.
Ich finde das gut das solche Plazierungen nicht mehr erlaubt sind.
Das hat mich selber schon einige Male irritiert.
Wenn man sich an die von Adsense empfohlenen Optimierungstipps hält kommt man mit ensprechendem Content auch ohne die User verwirren zu müssen schnell an die 10 % Klickrate
